Research Dr. Alshater’s research expertise reside in the realm of electrochemical degree of sensitization (DoS) assessment, intergranular stress corrosion cracking (IGSCC) and radiation damage, namely RIS and RIH. He had also engaged in research involving pulse-electroplating of nano-crystalline materials. Awards & Honors
  • 2018-2023 Awarded IAEA Technical Cooperation Funds for Project (BAH1001) titled “Establishment of high-resolution material characterization laboratory using nuclear analytical techniques”.
  • 2013 Awarded Research Grant (No. 2013/13) by the Deanship of Scientific Research, UoB vis-à-vis project titled “The Development of a Nano-coating System for Corrosion Protection”.
  • 2006-2010 Awarded Full-PhD Scholarship under the umbrella of the UK EPSRC and BNFL funded “Keeping the Nuclear Option Open (KNOO)” Programme.
