May Khalfan is a Research and Teaching Assistant. She completed her M.A. degree in 2004 in interior/spatial design and information technology from the University of Central England, Birmingham, UK, after completing a B.Sc. in architectural engineering from the University of Bahrain in 2002. May is currently on a scholarship leave to compete a PhD degree in the area of energy efficiency in the built environment at the University of Liverpool. Her research interests include sustainable building design, climate sensitive design and energy and thermal comfort in the built environment. May taught a number of courses in Graphic Design, Architectural Design, and Interior Design for Architectural students and Building Construction.
