FACULTY BIO

Dr Mona completed her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, University of Bahrain, 2019, with a thesis title: “Design Optimization of Bridge Structures under Code Provisions using Metaheuristic Algorithms”. She completed her MSc in Civil Engineering, University of Bahrain, 2005 and B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, University of Bahrain, 2002. Dr Mona joined the University of Bahrain, Civil Engineering Department in 2011. Prior to that, she worked as a Civil Engineer in the Roads Design Section, Roads Planning and Design Directorate, Ministry of Works, 2006-2011. From 2007 to 2008, she worked as a Trainee Engineer in the Bahrain Bay Development (BBD) Graduate Trainee Programme. She also worked in the Maintenance and Engineering Unit, Ministry of Information, 2004-2006.
