Short Bio: Dr. Nour-Eddine Mansour is Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Bahrain. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Automatic Control and System Engineering from the University of Sheffield (UK) and a B.Sc. in electrical engineering from the University of Science and Technology of Oran, Algeria. He instructed undergraduate and graduate courses in process control, programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and process instrumentation, power electronic, electric drives, and electric machines over 27 years. The main areas of research interest are Modelling, Control and Automation of Engineering and Biomedical Systems, other areas are Control Design for Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy Systems, and Electrical Drives. Dr. N-E Mansour supervised and co-supervised a number of undergraduate and graduate projects on the aforementioned research topics. Dr. N-E Mansour is a very active member of the department academic committee (AC) and coordinator of the accreditation (DAC) committee. He contributed to the development and updating of the instrumentation and control engineering B.Sc. program (ICENG). As DAC coordinator/member, he wrote and compiled ABET SSR reports and QAA SER reports for the B.Sc. PICENG program. Dr. N-E Mansour delivered short courses and workshops on sensors in industrial instrumentation, process measurements, industrial plant Automation, sensors, and digital measurement system, and virtual instrumentation.Areas of Expertise
