Biography


Dr. Raja Mohamed Sumsudeen is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Bahrain. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with a specialization in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems, from KARE University, and has over 18 years of academic experience at international universities.

Dr. Sumsudeen is a Fellow of Advance HE (UK) and a Chartered Engineer (CEng-UK). He is a professional member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET, UK) and the International Solar Energy Society (ISES, Germany).

He earned a professional certificate in Cybersecurity from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering in the USA and holds a Train the Trainer (TTT) certificate from the University of Bahrain (UOB).

Dr. Sumsudeen is actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and is currently supervising MSc theses in Renewable Energy as well as Ph.D. research projects in related areas. He has served as both primary and co-investigator on various international research projects and has authored numerous papers published in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings.

His research interests include grid integration of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, smart grids, power systems, and renewable energy technologies.

Biography
