PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Loughborough University, UK Dr. Riaz Muhammad is an esteemed faculty member at the University of Bahrain, Kingdom of Bahrain, where he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department. He holds a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Loughborough University, UK, and a master’s degree in advanced design and manufacturing from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) of Engineering Sciences & Technology, Pakistan. Dr. Muhammad's research interests encompass a wide range of areas in the field of mechanical engineering. His expertise lies in the finite element and experimental analysis of conventional, hybrid turning, drilling, and slot milling processes. He is well-versed in various finite element packages such as ANSYS, MSC Marc Mentat, DEFORM 3D, AdvantEdge, and ABAQUS. Additionally, he has a keen interest in surface integrity analysis techniques, energy harvesting, thermal imaging, cryogenic machining, free machining of hard-to-cut alloys, biomedical materials, wear, fuzzy logic modeling, computational fluid dynamics, entropy generation, and Lead-Free Solder Alloys. Dr. Muhammad has published his research findings in reputable journals and has presented his work at conferences and workshops. With his extensive knowledge and experience, Dr. Riaz Muhammad is dedicated to imparting quality education to undergraduate students. He actively participates in various committees, including the Departmental ABET Coordinator, Departmental Quality Assurance and Accreditation Committee, Senior Design Project Committee, Moderation committee member, Research and Industrial Linkage Committee, and Recruitment Committee. Dr. Muhammad teaches undergraduate modules such as Design of Mechanical Elements, Design of Mechanical Systems, Failure Analysis, and Measurement and Instrumentation, and Special Topics.
