  Research
Dr. Zakir Hossain received his education and academically participated in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering in many countries including Bangladesh, Thailand, Japan, Canada, and Saudi Arabia. His major field of interests include: Fermentation/Bioreactor Designs, Biofuel/Bioenergy, Microbial enhanced oil recovery, Cell Metabolomics/Proteomics, Environmental Engineering (wastewater treatment, biocorrosion), Biosensors (solid phase, cell based), Tissue Engineering, and Nano Technology. Statistical and artificial intelligence-based modelling and optimization are also major focus of his research. He has gained over 10 years of teaching and over 20 years of research experiences. He has more than 50 scientific publications in several referred Journals and conferences including two patents in his field.

  • 2018 Microsoft Certified Educator, Technology Literacy for Educators – 21st Century Learning Design, organized by Microsoft.
  • 2019 Safety Judge, MEPEC 2019, Organized by AIChE.
  • 2019 Awarded 1st prize for best article competition, organized by ACS (Saudi chapter).
