Biography


Dr. Hassan Aljaidah holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering from the University of Bahrain, completed in 2022. His doctoral research focused on the “Optimum Design of Integral Abutment Bridges Using Soft Computing Techniques.” He earned his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London in 2012, where his MSc project involved the “Design of a Forty-Story Building.” He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Bahrain (2008) and a Secondary Certificate in Science from Isa Town Secondary School (2002).

Dr. Hassan Aljaidah has been actively involved in research and academic writing. He co-authored a paper titled “A Simplified Onshore Wind Turbine Structural Model” presented at the World Renewable Energy Conference in 2025. He is currently working on a paper expanding his PhD research on integral abutment bridges.

Beyond academia, Dr. Hassan Aljaidah has contributed several thought-provoking articles to local newspapers. His published articles include:

  • “The Right Choice of University Major” (Albilad Newspaper)
  • “Developing University Students and the Problem of Dependent Learning”
  • “Towards a Platonic Work Environment”
  • “Lessons from COVID-19 and a Call for Optimism”
  • “Insights from Interviewing Students Before Entering University” (All published in Akhbar Al-Khaleej Newspaper)

Dr. Hassan Aljaidah is passionate about civil engineering, education reform, and youth development, and continues to contribute to both academic and public discourse.
