Anamika Vishal Jiwane is currently working as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Architecture and Interior Design, University of Bahrain, where she has been teaching since 2010. An Architect with a Master’s in Urban Planning and a PhD in Architecture from India, she also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice (UOB) and has been awarded a fellowship from the Higher Education Academy, UK. With 24 years of experience in architectural education, Anamika is dedicated to mentoring students, fostering their academic and professional growth, and guiding them through their design journeys. Her primary research interest lies in Sustainable Development through Community Participation and Participatory Approaches. She has published numerous research articles in prestigious international journals and has presented her work at renowned national and international conferences, covering topics such as Note Taking, Sustainable Practices, Smart Interiors, Healing Environments, Museums, and Interactive Built Environments. In addition to her academic career, Anamika has professional experience as an Architect, particularly in designing hospital buildings and commercial projects. She has also contributed to community services by volunteering in slum redevelopment and rural planning projects in India, working alongside local and international NGOs. Her commitment to both education and community service underscores her holistic approach to architecture and design.
