FACULTY BIO

Mrs. Fariel Khan holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) with a specialization on Architectural Conservation. Her research focuses on Pre-Mughal and Mughal mosques in Dhaka City, and their gradual transformation due to the intervention of local people. She has published at International level and have presented research papers in a number of conferences. As an editorial assistant, she has assisted in research work to produce three books for publication on architectural conservation and historical preservation in Bangladesh funded by Getty Foundation. She also has professional experience in remodeling, renovation work, master planning and designs of residential and commercial projects at local and international levels. She is the Regional Director of DCA (Design Communication Association, Montana, and USA) Middle Eastern Sector (2016-18). She teaches Interior Design and Graduation Projects.
