FACULTY BIO

Mrs. Maryam Jalal Obaid has a Bachelor of Interior Design from University of Bahrain. She completed her Master’s degree in Interior Design with distinction from De Montfort University in the United Kingdom in 2015, with research focusing on designing a youth center that reflect the vision of Bahrain youth city 2030. She is working as a Research and Teaching Assistant in Architecture and Interior Design Department at University of Bahrain. She teaches Interior Design, Design Fundamentals, Technical Graphics, Computer Aided Design and working drawings. She has interest in enhancing students drawing and digital skills to represent their design ideas. She is fluent in drawing and design software such as Photoshop, AutoCAD, Revit, Cinema 4D and 3DsMax. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD studies in Architecture at the University of Bahrain, with research focuses on exploring and integrating artificial intelligence (AI) tools into the buildings design process.
