POSTGRADUATE

The postgraduate programs at the college of engineering started since the early 90’s. Given this fact, the College of Engineering at University of Bahrain was the first to offer postgraduate studies with well-established list of core and elective courses. Currently, the college is offering up to (14) postgraduate programs:

MSc in Chemical Engineering, MSc in Civil Engineering, MSc in Mechanical Engineering, MSc in Engineering Management, MSc in Electrical Engineering, MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering, MSc in Artificial Intelligence Systems, Master of Architecture – M. Arch, MSc in Telecommunications and Networks, PhD in Chemical Engineering, PhD in Civil Engineering, PhD in Mechanical Engineering, PhD in Engineering Management, and PhD in Electrical Engineering.

While targeting professionals seeking various advanced technical/research career perspectives, over the past years the engineering postgraduate programs are playing a vital role towards University of Bahrain research outcomes with publications in well-indexed technical journals and international conferences, enhancing the applied research vision to contribute towards solving local and regional research challenges, and aligning with Vision 2030 of the Kingdom of Bahrain economy.

There are around 130 postgraduate students enrolled in various postgraduate programs at the College of Engineering, with an annual graduate rate of 20. In addition, more focus is being drawn towards engineering computing, engineering big data analysis and the application of modern tools in research and analysis of deep studies.

Given, this fact, the College of Engineering is still in the process of development of more modern postgraduate programs and the expansion towards more recent titles that specifies and to comply with the Bahrain 2030 vision over the coming 10 years.
